Support Staff Training and Development Project
A one time funding opportunity was provided to Ontario school boards to enhance the planning and delivery of effective staff development and training at the board level for all non-teaching/support staff. The Ontario Education Services Corporation (OESC)was awarded a grant from the Ministry of Education to lead, plan, implement and evaluate this project.
This project presented a unique opportunity for boards to review current staff development planning and practice, and to set new goals and priorities. OESC worked with funded boards to support approaches producing long-term sustainable impact on this important area of staff development. Best practices identified during the project have been shared in a report to the Ministry of Education.
